He has worked with a diverse clientele individually, with couples and with families. He addresses couple conflicts, parenting and co-parenting, and parental alienation. Slim also treats presentations related to depression, loss of meaning, and post-traumatic stress.

A psychologist trained in Tunisia and France, where he obtained his Doctorate from the University of Aix-Marseille in 2009, Slim also holds a master's degree in sociology. After an equivalency process, he registered with the Order of Psychologists of Quebec.

Slim taught at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of Tunis (2006–2020) and was director of the psychology department (2013 and 2017). He has worked in Tunisia, Morocco and Quebec on topics such as public health, occupational health, gender-based violence, youth from disadvantaged neighborhoods, and violent extremism. His experience as a psychologist in Quebec is rich due to the variety of settings and clients he has known: school psychologist, psychotherapist for adults, couples and families. He has thus developed a strong understanding of and sensitivity to the issues experienced by Quebecers from different cultural backgrounds.

Combining a clinical psychology and social psychology perspective, Slim conceives of the individual as an agent in constant interaction with their immediate and historical physical, social and symbolic environment. Slim also trained in psychodrama in Quebec and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Psychodramatists of Quebec.

Authentic and creative, Slim adopts an eclectic approach, drawing on systemic, humanistic and psychodynamic approaches while remaining open to CBT tools. He also uses psychodrama and role-playing in his clinical practice.
