Mélanie first completed a college diploma in social work at Cégep before obtaining her Bachelor's degree in social work at McGill University. She worked in child protection as well as on CLSC youth teams and is well acquainted with the needs and development of children and adolescents. Mother of two teenagers, Mélanie understands the current challenges of parenting as well as those faced by young people.

She has a humanistic view of the helping relationship; she believes we all possess the strengths and abilities to get through life's challenges. Mélanie aims to create a space where a person can express themselves freely, without fearing judgment. She likes to prompt reflections that lead the client to find their own answers in order to better understand their experience and thus be able to adopt more sustainable strategies and solutions.

Mélanie's personal and professional life experience means she understands the challenges that life in general and family life bring, and she offers realistic, accessible, and tailored ideas to each of her clients. Her interventions are based on a mix of systemic, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused approaches.
