Marie-Michèle Bédard is a psychologist who holds a doctorate in psychology (Ph.D.) from the University of Sherbrooke. She specializes in psychotherapy for children and adolescents, as well as in parental support and guidance. She also sees adults and older adults who wish to address life challenges, transitions, bereavement, and preparation for aging. In private practice since 2019, her clinical orientation is psychodynamic and integrative. She uses analytic approaches such as transference, free association, and active listening to untangle impasses and psychological conflicts. With her youngest clients, the use of play therapy and various playful media is employed.

Dr. Bédard believes the therapeutic space should be a safe environment where everyone feels free to bring forward their inner world. We are thus encouraged to take the necessary time to freely choose whether to commit to the proposed therapeutic process. In this accompaniment, we will witness the journey and difficult life challenges, but also the successes and progress: a whole that allows each person to move toward greater personal well-being.
