Known for her ability to untangle complex situations, Karine Michel is dedicated to welcoming families facing difficult times with respect and professionalism. Attentive and approachable, she offers an intervention centered on the needs of each person.
Karine Michel holds a master's degree in social work from the Université de Montréal and a bachelor's degree in psychology from McGill University. She worked for over ten years in CLSCs, where she specialized in mental health as a practitioner working with youth and families and as a trainer.
Karine is a warm, compassionate practitioner who knows how to draw on the strengths of individuals and their environments to jointly develop possible solutions. She welcomes people as they are (he/she/they/non-binary) and supports them, across their diversity, in reflecting on their well-being.
A mother of three herself, she understands how deeply parents care about their child's well-being and flourishing. She supports families with gentleness and empathy.
Her interventions are informed by systemic, intersectional, intercultural, feminist, cognitive-behavioral, and trans-affirming approaches.
