
Monica Chantal Vasquez was trained as a clinical psychologist at the Université de Montréal. Clinically, she received her training in the psychiatric field at the Douglas Institute with adults and older adults. Monica has gained varied experience in the public system for over twenty years, notably: general hospital and psychiatric hospital, adult mental health teams and general care teams in CLSCs, outpatient psychiatry clinic. She has also worked in a private rehabilitation clinic. Monica aims to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space for her clients to help them open up and better understand themselves.
She uses an integrative approach to psychotherapy (including cognitive and behavioral approaches of 2nd and of 3rd wave) to address a multitude of issues, notably excessive anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship questioning, etc. Monica can use English and Spanish in her interventions according to her clients' needs.
