Martine Fortier, D.Ps., is a neuropsychologist specializing in pediatric neuropsychology at the Familio Saguenay Clinic. A member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec since 2004 and holder of a certification in the assessment of neuropsychological disorders, she has over 20 years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents, including 18 years at the CIUSSS du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean in the fields of pediatrics, child psychiatry, and rehabilitation.

Her areas of expertise include the neuropsychological assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders: autism spectrum disorders (ASD), ADHD, specific learning disorders, giftedness, intellectual disability, and academic exemption. She is trained in the administration of the ADOS-2 and the ADI-R, the gold-standard diagnostic tools for assessing ASD, and more recently in the use of narrative attachment frameworks. She stays current through regular continuing education with recognized experts.

An associate clinical professor in the Department of Health Sciences at UQAC since 2011, she has taught neuropsychology and health psychology and supervises graduate-level clinical internships. Since 2014, she has also supervised neuropsychologists and candidates for the profession.

As an author with a focus on research, she has published in scientific journals such as the Journal of Clinical Sport Psychology and the Revue québécoise de psychologie. She is co-author of the chapter “Body Image in Athletes” in the anthology Body Image in All Its Forms (Presses de l’Université du Québec, 2022), has contributed to Équilibre’s Body and Sport project (2024–2025), and is the author of 10 Questions on… Anorexia in Adolescence (Éditions Midi-Trente, 2023)."
