Support for everyday emotional and social challenges. You don't have to face them alone.
What is a psychosocial counsellor?
Psychosocial counsellors are professionals specializing in mental health and social well-being.
He or she is trained to offer support and psychological assistance through a variety of accompaniment strategies, as well as prevention. He works with individuals of all ages who are facing obstacles or have concerns in the psychosocial, emotional or behavioral spheres.
His work as a psychosocial interventionist involves supporting people facing a problematic situation, helping them to develop their personal resources and skills so that they can find solutions on their own. The intervener plays an essential role in supporting and accompanying people in difficulty.
Why consult a psychosocial counsellor?
You can consult a psychosocial counsellor if you're having trouble coping with a difficult event, if you have concerns, or simply if you need to talk. The aim of psychosocial follow-up is to provide you with support and active, sympathetic listening. The reasons for consultation are wide-ranging, touching on different spheres such as the social, family, economic, educational, relational, personal and mental health spheres.
Helping Intervention also offers support and strategies to improve your psychological and social well-being. Individual meetings are a non-judgmental place where you can express yourself freely. The approaches proposed in consultation may vary according to the unique context experienced by the individual.
When should you call on the services of a psychosocial counsellor?
There's no right time to consult. Consultation is voluntary and confidential. We recommend that you contact a professional when you feel you need extra help to deal with one or more issues in your life.
